Best People Data Labs Alternatives in 2026: 6 APIs Tested Against PDL, by Use Case
People Data Labs alternatives tested against PDL in two benchmarks. See where CompanyEnrich, Crustdata, Coresignal, FullEnrich, Apollo, and Prospeo win or fail.
Summarize this blog post with
People Data Labs (PDL) is one of the best-known names in B2B data. Founded in 2015, it has spent more than a decade selling person and company data to engineering and data teams. Still, plenty of those same teams end up searching for People Data Labs alternatives.
The reasons vary. Some hit the price per record. Some find coverage gaps on their own accounts, or records that have gone stale. Some want an app rather than an API, or the AI agent tooling PDL does not ship. And because PDL is really several products under one brand (person enrichment, person search, company enrichment, company search, and bulk data licenses), the right alternative depends on which of those you are replacing.
This guide is built on two public benchmarks that tested PDL side by side with the alternatives below, and on PDL's own reviews. In it, you will learn:
- What PDL is genuinely good at
- Where PDL falls short
- How six alternatives compare to PDL
Which People Data Labs Alternative Fits Your Use Case?
Short answer: For live company enrichment and people search APIs, CompanyEnrich had the highest coverage and the lowest cost per correct result in our tests. For company signals and investment research, use Crustdata. For bulk datasets, recruiting, and workforce analytics, Coresignal and Crustdata are the closest replacements. For emails and mobile numbers, use FullEnrich. For a sales team that wants an app, use Apollo.
| If you use PDL for... | Best alternative | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Company enrichment by domain | CompanyEnrich | Highest find rate and deepest profiles of six tested providers |
| Finding decision-makers at target accounts | CompanyEnrich or Crustdata | Both returned a correct profile for about 88% of companies |
| Investment research and company signals | Crustdata | Watcher API, jobs data, revenue and Crunchbase coverage |
| Bulk datasets | Coresignal or Crustdata | Both sell dataset delivery alongside their APIs |
| Recruiting | Coresignal or Crustdata | People profiles with work history, plus job postings |
| Workforce analytics | Coresignal, Crustdata, or CompanyEnrich | Employee datasets from Coresignal and Crustdata; headcount history from CompanyEnrich |
| Work emails and mobile numbers | FullEnrich | Queries multiple sources and charges only when data is found |
| A sales team that wants an app | Apollo | Data, sequences, and CRM sync in one product |
Bottom line: Pick the alternative by the PDL job you are replacing, not by an overall ranking. Most teams end up replacing one or two PDL endpoints, not all of them.
Watch: People Data Labs Review and Alternatives
If you prefer video, we recorded a short walkthrough of where PDL is strong, where it falls short, and three alternatives worth considering.
How We Tested These People Data Labs Alternatives
To see which providers can genuinely stand in for PDL, we compared it with six leading B2B data providers in two public benchmarks, giving every provider the same inputs and the same scoring. We then checked current pricing pages, provider docs, and PDL's G2 reviews to cover what a benchmark cannot measure.
- Company enrichment benchmark, May 2026: six APIs enriched the same 349 DNS-resolved domains, sampled from the Majestic Million. We measured find rate and how many of 27 standard fields each returned profile contained. This measures coverage and field presence, not whether every value is accurate.
- People search benchmark, August 31, 2026: seven APIs searched for the current CEO or founder at the same 502 active YC companies. We verified every returned profile against HarvestAPI and counted correct, stale, wrong, and unresolved results per provider. This measures whether a provider returns the right current person.
- Pricing: checked on each provider's public pricing page in September 2026. Benchmark cost figures are modeled from roughly comparable $500 plan tiers.
The people search cohort is one market segment, recently funded startups, and one title task. Results may differ for enterprises, local businesses, or other regions, which is why every section below ends with the same advice: test on your own records.
What Is People Data Labs, and What Is It Good At?
People Data Labs is a developer-focused data provider that sells person and company data through APIs and bulk data licenses. Its homepage pitches the product to teams building data products, AI recruiting tools, CRM refresh workflows, workforce analytics, and competitive analysis. Most of its buyers are engineering and data teams, not sales reps.

Before looking at alternatives, it is worth being clear about where PDL is strong. These are the reasons some teams should stay.
Bulk Data Licenses
PDL sells data license feeds: on-premise and flat-file delivery of large person and company datasets. If your data team loads raw records into a warehouse, trains ML models, or runs its own entity resolution, this is a different product from a per-call API, and most alternatives on this list do not offer it.
LinkedIn, Crunchbase, and Corporate Relations Fields
In our company enrichment benchmark, PDL led five fields: LinkedIn URL at 60.2%, employee count at 60.2%, company type at 60.2%, Crunchbase URL at 38.1%, and corporate relations such as parent and subsidiary links at 10.6%. If one of those fields is the reason you buy company data, PDL is hard to beat.
A Query Model Developers Like
PDL's search APIs accept SQL and Elasticsearch-style queries, which gives developers fine-grained control. Positive reviews on G2 mention well-written documentation, flexible queries, responsive support, and integrations that keep running without maintenance.
Where Does People Data Labs Fall Short?
The weaknesses show up in three places: cost per useful result, coverage, and the shape of the product.
Cost per Correct Result
People Data Labs was the most expensive of seven providers at a modeled $0.3614 per correct profile, more than twice the next most expensive provider. The other five all cost under $0.02 per correct profile.
Part of that is the billing model. PDL charges per returned record, about $0.28 at a roughly $500 plan tier, so a former founder or a wrong-company match costs the same as a correct one.
Pricing is also split: person data and company data are separate subscriptions, so a team that needs both pays for two plans. One G2 reviewer from a research team described the choice between API credits and dataset slices as a set of painful trade-offs.
People Search Coverage
People Data Labs returned a correct profile for 74.5% of companies, or 374 of 502, sixth of seven providers. It returned no usable candidates at all for 116 companies, it had the most unresolved candidates in the test at 25, and it returned 37 results where the person held the title at a different company.

For a workflow that needs one decision-maker per account, a 74.5% hit rate means roughly one in four accounts goes to a fallback source or manual research.
Company Profile Depth
People Data Labs returned a profile for 60.2% of domains and averaged 13.7 of 27 fields per returned profile. Three alternatives returned deeper profiles on average: CompanyEnrich, Apollo, and Coresignal. PDL returned no technologies and no company phone numbers for any tested domain, and its industry taxonomy coverage was about half of CompanyEnrich's.
Freshness and LinkedIn Dependence
A recurring data complaint in PDL's G2 reviews is recency. Reviewers mention records that lag behind real-world changes, duplicates in the dataset, a lower match rate than they wanted, and inconsistent phone formatting. One venture capital reviewer put the root cause simply: "the data seems to trust LinkedIn a bit much." The same reviewer noted that people without a LinkedIn profile do not show up in search or employee counts.
API-Only Access
PDL is built for developers. G2 reviewers point out that there is no app for exploring the data, only a tool that helps build query strings, and another reviewer found technical adoption hard. That is fine for an engineering team and a real barrier for a sales or research team.
No First-Party AI Agent Tooling
PDL does not document a first-party MCP server, semantic search, or lookalike company search. Third-party MCP connectors exist through tools like Zapier. Every alternative on this list now ships its own MCP server, so this is a PDL gap, not a unique advantage of any one competitor.
Best People Data Labs Alternatives in 2026
Six providers made the list. The first is the closest thing to a drop-in replacement for PDL's APIs. The ones after it are each stronger in one area, whether that is fresh people data, bulk datasets, contact details, or a sales app. For every provider, you will see where it beats PDL, where it will let you down, which PDL endpoints it can take over, and the benchmark numbers for both side by side, so you can check each claim against the data.
1. CompanyEnrich: Best Overall PDL Replacement for Enrichment and People Search APIs

CompanyEnrich is the closest one-to-one replacement for PDL's live API endpoints: company enrichment, company search, person search, person enrichment, and contact finding, all drawn from one credit balance. In both benchmarks it beat PDL on coverage, and in the people search test it had the lowest cost per correct result of any provider.
What CompanyEnrich is good for
- Company enrichment by domain: the highest find rate and deepest average profile of six tested providers.
- Fields PDL left empty: technologies at 60.2% against 0.0%, company phone at 53.9% against 0.0%, and industry taxonomy at 50.5% against a 25.5% category average.
- Finding decision-makers: the most companies resolved of seven providers, 68 more than PDL.
- Discovery PDL does not offer: semantic company search in plain English, a Similar Companies API for lookalikes, and headcount history.
- AI agents: a first-party MCP server.
Where CompanyEnrich may fail
- Bulk datasets: CompanyEnrich is API-only and does not ship data license files.
- Crunchbase links and corporate relations: 7.4% and 0.9%, against PDL's 38.1% and 10.6%.
- LinkedIn URL coverage: 55.6%, slightly behind PDL's 60.2%.
Which PDL endpoints CompanyEnrich can replace
- CompanyEnrich can replace PDL's Company Enrichment and Company Search APIs.
- CompanyEnrich can replace PDL's Person Search and Person Enrichment APIs.
- CompanyEnrich can replace PDL's contact fields through its separate Find Email and Find Mobile endpoints.
CompanyEnrich vs People Data Labs: benchmark results
CompanyEnrich returned a correct CEO or founder profile for 88.0% of companies, the highest share of seven providers, at a modeled $0.0027 per correct profile. CompanyEnrich returned a profile for 67.6% of domains with an average of 17.9 of 27 fields, the highest find rate and deepest profiles of six providers. The table compares CompanyEnrich and People Data Labs on six metrics from both benchmarks, and CompanyEnrich leads every row except stale profiles.
| Metric | CompanyEnrich | People Data Labs |
|---|---|---|
| Company enrichment find rate | 67.6% | 60.2% |
| Avg fields per returned profile | 17.9 / 27 | 13.7 / 27 |
| Companies with a correct profile | 88.0% | 74.5% |
| Correct profiles found | 809 | 688 |
| Stale profiles | 27 | 5 |
| Cost per correct profile | $0.0027 | $0.3614 |
CompanyEnrich pricing
CompanyEnrich offers a free trial with 500 credits, then $49 per month for 5,000 credits, $149 for 50,000, or $549 for 500,000, which is $0.0011 per credit. Every endpoint draws from the same balance: company enrichment costs 1 credit, people search 2 credits per profile.
CompanyEnrich is best for
CompanyEnrich is for teams calling PDL's API in production for signup enrichment, CRM enrichment, lead routing, or account scoring, and for builders who need B2B data inside AI agents. It is also the most affordable option per correct result in our tests. For the full comparison, see People Data Labs vs CompanyEnrich.
2. Crustdata: Best for People Data That Must Be Current

Crustdata is the strongest pure people search alternative in our test. It found more correct profiles than any provider, including us, and returned zero stale profiles. If one former CEO in your CRM does more damage than one empty row, start here.
What Crustdata is good for
- Current decision-makers: the most correct profiles of seven providers, with no stale profiles in the results.
- Change monitoring: the Watcher API sends webhook notifications when tracked companies or people change, alongside Jobs and Posts APIs.
- Investment research and deal sourcing: Crustdata tied for the lead on revenue coverage at 45.6% and was second on Crunchbase URLs at 35.2% in the enrichment benchmark.
- Bulk data: company and people datasets delivered as flat files, refreshed monthly, which Crustdata says are unified from 11+ sources.
- AI agents: a first-party MCP server.
Where Crustdata may fail
- Company enrichment breadth: the lowest find rate of six providers in our domain test, with no technologies or company phone returned.
- Pricing transparency: there is no public price list, so you need a sales call. Our benchmark snapshot used $0.30 per credit.
- Corporate relations and LinkedIn URLs: 0.0% and 50.1%, against PDL's 10.6% and 60.2%.
Which PDL endpoints Crustdata can replace
- Crustdata can replace PDL's Person Search API when currentness matters most.
- Crustdata can replace PDL's Person Enrichment API.
- Crustdata can replace PDL's bulk person and company data licenses if a monthly refresh cadence fits.
Crustdata vs People Data Labs: benchmark results
Crustdata returned 825 correct profiles and zero stale profiles, the most correct profiles of seven providers. Crustdata returned a profile for 50.1% of domains, the lowest find rate of six providers. The table compares Crustdata and People Data Labs across both benchmarks, and Crustdata leads on every people search metric while trailing PDL on company enrichment find rate.
| Metric | Crustdata | People Data Labs |
|---|---|---|
| Companies with a correct profile | 87.8% | 74.5% |
| Correct profiles found | 825 | 688 |
| Stale profiles | 0 | 5 |
| Company enrichment find rate | 50.1% | 60.2% |
| Cost per correct profile | $0.0098 | $0.3614 |
Crustdata pricing
Crustdata sells a credit-based API with monthly and annual plans, with pricing on request. Datasets are quoted separately.
Crustdata is best for
Crustdata is for recruiting platforms, VC and deal-sourcing tools, and AI SDR products that need fresh people data. More detail in Crustdata vs CompanyEnrich.
3. Coresignal: Closest Replacement for PDL's Bulk Datasets

Coresignal is the provider I would point a data team to first if the main thing they buy from PDL is bulk data. It sells company, employee, and job posting data as both datasets and APIs, with transparent self-serve pricing. It also beat PDL on people search coverage, though it sat behind the leaders.
What Coresignal is good for
- Datasets: company, employee, and jobs data delivered as datasets, with APIs on top of the same data.
- Jobs and workforce data: a job posting costs 1 credit, which makes hiring signals cheap to pull at scale.
- Tooling PDL users will recognize: Elasticsearch DSL queries, webhooks, an Agentic Search API, and a first-party MCP server.
Where Coresignal may fail
- Breadth: 77.7% people search coverage, ahead of PDL but well behind the leaders at about 88%, and a 50.4% company enrichment find rate against PDL's 60.2%.
- Unit cost: company and employee records cost 10-20 credits each, so its cost per correct profile was the second highest after PDL.
- Revenue: 0.0% revenue coverage in the enrichment benchmark.
Which PDL endpoints Coresignal can replace
- Coresignal can replace PDL's data license feeds for company and employee data.
- Coresignal can replace PDL's Person Search and Company Search APIs for data-team workflows.
- Coresignal can replace the workforce and job data PDL users pull for recruiting or labor market analysis.
Coresignal vs People Data Labs: benchmark results
Coresignal returned a correct profile for 77.7% of companies, and it returned a profile for 50.4% of domains with an average of 14.2 of 27 fields. The table compares Coresignal and People Data Labs across both benchmarks, and Coresignal leads on companies resolved, profile depth, and cost, while PDL found more correct profiles and more company domains.
| Metric | Coresignal | People Data Labs |
|---|---|---|
| Companies with a correct profile | 77.7% | 74.5% |
| Correct profiles found | 676 | 688 |
| Company enrichment find rate | 50.4% | 60.2% |
| Avg fields per returned profile | 14.2 / 27 | 13.7 / 27 |
| Cost per correct profile | $0.1475 | $0.3614 |
Coresignal pricing
Coresignal offers a 7-day free trial, then plans from $49 per month for 2,500 credits up to $5,000 per month for 10 million credits. Datasets are priced separately.
Coresignal is best for
Coresignal is for data science, ML, workforce analytics, and recruiting teams that want PDL-style datasets with a public price list. More detail in Coresignal vs CompanyEnrich.
4. FullEnrich: Best for Emails and Mobile Numbers

FullEnrich is not a PDL clone. It is a contact-data waterfall: you send a person, and it queries a chain of providers until it finds a verified email or phone number. If the main thing you pull from PDL is contact fields, it is a better fit than any single-source database. It also held up well on people search.
What FullEnrich is good for
- Emails and mobile numbers: FullEnrich says it queries 25+ sources and charges only when it finds data.
- Deeper coverage per company: for the companies it found, FullEnrich returned almost two correct people each, more than any other provider tested. Useful if you reach out to several people at each account.
- Low stale rate: 7 stale profiles, close to PDL's 5.
- Predictable billing: credits roll over for three months on monthly plans.
Where FullEnrich may fail
- Wrong results: 57 results with the wrong title or company, against 45 for PDL.
- Bulk data: no dataset delivery.
Which PDL endpoints FullEnrich can replace
- FullEnrich can replace the email and phone fields from PDL's Person Enrichment API.
- FullEnrich can replace PDL's Person Search API for building prospect lists.
FullEnrich vs People Data Labs: benchmark results
FullEnrich returned a correct profile for 81.9% of companies and 794 correct profiles in total, the third-most of seven providers. FullEnrich was not included in the company enrichment benchmark. The table compares FullEnrich and People Data Labs on the people search benchmark, where FullEnrich leads on coverage and cost and PDL had two fewer stale profiles.
| Metric | FullEnrich | People Data Labs |
|---|---|---|
| Companies with a correct profile | 81.9% | 74.5% |
| Correct profiles found | 794 | 688 |
| Stale profiles | 7 | 5 |
| Company enrichment find rate | Not tested | 60.2% |
| Cost per correct profile | $0.0135 | $0.3614 |
FullEnrich pricing
FullEnrich offers 50 free credits, then $55 per month for 1,000 credits. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3, a mobile number 10.
FullEnrich is best for
FullEnrich is for outbound teams and agencies that need reachable contacts more than deep firmographics.
5. Apollo: Best for Sales Teams That Want an App, and as a Waterfall Backup

Apollo is a sales platform with a data API attached, not a data API company. That is exactly why it belongs here: a recurring PDL complaint is that there is no app for exploring the data, and Apollo is the opposite. It also beat PDL in both benchmarks and returned more people that no other provider found than anyone else.
What Apollo is good for
- Unique finds: 15 correct profiles that no other provider returned, the most of seven. That makes Apollo a strong second source in a waterfall.
- Company enrichment: second only to CompanyEnrich on find rate and profile depth, and it led technologies at 61.0%, founded year, and funding signals at 10.6%.
- Sales workflows: prospecting, sequences, dialer, and CRM sync in one product.
- AI agents: an official MCP server.
Where Apollo may fail
- API-first products: API enrichment is included on paid plans, but Apollo's pricing page places broader API access on custom plans. The product is packaged around seats for sales users, not per-call infrastructure.
- Bulk data: no dataset delivery.
Which PDL endpoints Apollo can replace
- Apollo can replace PDL's Person and Company Enrichment APIs for sales teams working inside an app.
- Apollo can replace PDL's Person Search API as a backup source in a waterfall.
Apollo vs People Data Labs: benchmark results
Apollo returned a correct profile for 83.1% of companies and 15 correct profiles that no other provider returned, the most unique finds of seven providers. Apollo returned a profile for 61.6% of domains with an average of 15.4 of 27 fields, second to CompanyEnrich on both. The table compares Apollo and People Data Labs on six metrics from both benchmarks, and Apollo leads all six rows.
| Metric | Apollo | People Data Labs |
|---|---|---|
| Companies with a correct profile | 83.1% | 74.5% |
| Correct profiles found | 717 | 688 |
| Unique finds | 15 | 8 |
| Company enrichment find rate | 61.6% | 60.2% |
| Avg fields per returned profile | 15.4 / 27 | 13.7 / 27 |
| Cost per correct profile | $0.0173 | $0.3614 |
Apollo pricing
Apollo offers a free plan, then $49 per seat per month billed annually for Basic, which includes 30,000 credits per seat per year, $79 for Professional, and $119 for Organization with a three-seat minimum.
Apollo is best for
Apollo is for SDR and AE teams that want data and outreach in one tool, and for data teams looking for a fallback source.
6. Prospeo: Best Budget Option for Contact Lookups

Prospeo is the cheapest way on this list to get verified emails at volume, and it contributed the second-most unique finds. It also had the weakest accuracy profile in our people search test, so I would use it as a backup source, not the first one.
What Prospeo is good for
- Low cost: the second-lowest cost per correct profile, after CompanyEnrich.
- Unique finds: 11 correct profiles that no other provider returned.
- Email finding: 1 credit per verified email, and Prospeo says its data is refreshed weekly.
Where Prospeo may fail
- Stale and wrong people: in the people search benchmark, 31 of its returned profiles had already left the role and 65 had the wrong title or company, the highest counts of seven providers, against 5 and 45 for PDL.
- People search coverage: the lowest of seven providers on both measures, a correct profile for 73.1% of companies and 642 correct profiles in total, slightly below PDL on each.
Which PDL endpoints Prospeo can replace
- Prospeo can replace the email lookups from PDL's Person Enrichment API on a budget.
- Prospeo can replace PDL's Person Search API as a secondary source.
Prospeo vs People Data Labs: benchmark results
Prospeo returned a correct profile for 73.1% of companies, the lowest share of seven providers, at a modeled $0.0091 per correct profile, the second-lowest cost. Prospeo was not included in the company enrichment benchmark. The table compares Prospeo and People Data Labs on the people search benchmark, where Prospeo wins on unique finds and cost and PDL wins on coverage, correct profiles, and stale profiles.
| Metric | Prospeo | People Data Labs |
|---|---|---|
| Companies with a correct profile | 73.1% | 74.5% |
| Correct profiles found | 642 | 688 |
| Stale profiles | 31 | 5 |
| Unique finds | 11 | 8 |
| Company enrichment find rate | Not tested | 60.2% |
| Cost per correct profile | $0.0091 | $0.3614 |
Prospeo pricing
Prospeo offers a free plan with 100 credits per month, then $49 per month for 2,000 credits, $99 for 5,000, or $249 for 15,000, per user, with 25% off annual billing. A mobile number costs 10 credits.
Prospeo is best for
Prospeo is for founders and small outbound teams on a budget, and for anyone adding a cheap fallback to a waterfall.
Why Clearbit, Clay, and Proxycurl Are Not on This List
Three names come up in almost every search for People Data Labs alternatives. Each is missing here for a reason you can check.
- Clearbit is no longer sold on its own. HubSpot acquired it in late 2023 and folded it into Breeze Intelligence, which only works inside HubSpot. Standalone Clearbit stopped taking new subscriptions, and its free tools were discontinued on April 30, 2025.
- Clay is not a data provider. It is an orchestration platform that pulls data from other providers, including several on this list, so it is where you would run a PDL replacement, not what you would replace PDL with.
- Proxycurl shut down. LinkedIn sued it in January 2025, and it announced its closure on July 4, 2025. If you are migrating off Proxycurl rather than PDL, the people search results above are the part of this guide that applies.
How Do the People Data Labs Alternatives Compare Side by Side?
Across both benchmarks, CompanyEnrich led coverage, Crustdata led freshness, and People Data Labs was the most expensive per correct result. This section puts all seven providers in one place.
Company Enrichment Benchmark Results
In CompanyEnrich's May 2026 company enrichment benchmark of 349 domains, CompanyEnrich returned a profile for 67.6% of domains, ahead of Apollo at 61.6%, People Data Labs at 60.2%, Coresignal at 50.4%, and Crustdata at 50.1%. The table shows find rate, which is the share of 349 domains that returned a company profile, the average number of fields per returned profile, and how often four specific fields were populated across all 349 domains.
| Provider | Find rate | Avg fields | Technologies | Revenue | Crunchbase | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CompanyEnrich | 67.6% | 17.9 / 27 | 55.6% | 60.2% | 37.0% | 7.4% |
| Apollo | 61.6% | 15.4 / 27 | 56.7% | 61.0% | 36.1% | 0.0% |
| People Data Labs | 60.2% | 13.7 / 27 | 60.2% | 0.0% | 27.2% | 38.1% |
| Coresignal | 50.4% | 14.2 / 27 | 50.4% | 29.8% | 0.0% | 4.0% |
| Crustdata | 50.1% | 13.0 / 27 | 50.1% | 0.0% | 45.6% | 35.2% |
| FullEnrich | Not tested | |||||
| Prospeo | Not tested |
Green cells mark the top three in each column, darkest first. A 0.0% means the provider returned nothing for that field on any tested domain.
CompanyEnrich led on find rate and profile depth, with Apollo the closest all-round runner-up and the leader on technologies. PDL led the two fields it is known for, LinkedIn and Crunchbase URLs, and Crustdata led revenue.
People Search Benchmark Results
In CompanyEnrich's August 2026 people search benchmark of 502 YC companies, CompanyEnrich returned a correct CEO or founder profile for 88.0% of companies and Crustdata for 87.8%, against 74.5% for People Data Labs. The table shows companies resolved, correct, stale, wrong, and unique profiles for all seven providers.
| Provider | Companies resolved | Correct profiles | Stale | Wrong | Unique finds |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CompanyEnrich | 442 (88.0%) | 809 | 27 | 49 | 3 |
| Crustdata | 441 (87.8%) | 825 | 0 | 40 | 5 |
| Apollo | 417 (83.1%) | 717 | 7 | 43 | 15 |
| FullEnrich | 411 (81.9%) | 794 | 7 | 57 | 3 |
| Coresignal | 390 (77.7%) | 676 | 5 | 31 | 1 |
| People Data Labs | 374 (74.5%) | 688 | 5 | 45 | 8 |
| Prospeo | 367 (73.1%) | 642 | 31 | 65 | 11 |
Green cells mark the top three in each column, darkest first. Stale means the person had already left the role; for stale and wrong results, lower is better.
Two providers lead on different things. CompanyEnrich resolved one more company than Crustdata; Crustdata found 16 more correct profiles and no stale ones. For one contact per account, the two are effectively tied. For freshness, Crustdata wins.
What Does It Cost to Find a Decision-Maker at 10,000 Companies?
The people search benchmark also worked out what each provider spent per company where it returned a correct profile. Multiply that by 10,000 and you get a rough budget for finding one decision-maker at every account on a 10,000-company list.
| Provider | Cost per company with a correct profile | Modeled spend for 10,000 companies |
|---|---|---|
| CompanyEnrich | $0.0049 | $49 |
| Prospeo | $0.0159 | $159 |
| Crustdata | $0.0183 | $183 |
| FullEnrich | $0.0261 | $261 |
| Apollo | $0.0297 | $297 |
| Coresignal | $0.2556 | $2,556 |
| People Data Labs | $0.6648 | $6,648 |

A fairness note on PDL: the benchmark requested up to 100 results per company from every provider that supports a result limit, and PDL bills per returned record. A tighter query would lower PDL's spend. But even with a one-result query and a perfect hit rate, PDL's $0.28 per-record price at this tier works out to $2,800 per 10,000 companies.
What to do: Recalculate these numbers with your real contract rates and query sizes. Compare cost per correct result, not cost per credit.
Pricing Models Compared
The table compares the free option, entry paid plan, billing unit, and dataset availability for all seven providers, taken from their public pricing pages in September 2026.
| Provider | Free option | Entry paid plan | How units work | Bulk datasets |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CompanyEnrich | 500-credit trial | $49/mo for 5,000 credits | One credit pool for every endpoint | No |
| People Data Labs | 100 records/mo, contact data hidden | $98/mo person, $100/mo company | Separate plans for person and company data | Yes, Enterprise |
| Crustdata | Demo | Not published | Credits, monthly or annual | Yes, monthly flat files |
| Coresignal | 7-day trial | $49/mo for 2,500 credits | 10-20 credits per record, 1 per job posting | Yes |
| FullEnrich | 50 credits | $55/mo for 1,000 credits | Charged only when data is found | No |

Capabilities Compared
The table shows which of five core capabilities each provider offers: a person search API, a company enrichment API, emails and phones, a first-party MCP server, and bulk datasets.
| Provider | Person search API | Company enrichment API | Emails and phones | First-party MCP | Bulk datasets |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CompanyEnrich | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
| People Data Labs | Yes | Yes | Yes, paid plans | No, third-party only | Yes |
| Crustdata | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Coresignal | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| FullEnrich | Yes | Bundled with contacts | Yes | Yes | No |
| Apollo | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
| Prospeo | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
On paper, this grid barely separates the providers. Almost everyone has a person search API, contact data, and an MCP server now. The benchmarks are where they actually differ.
How to Choose and Combine People Data Labs Alternatives
Use this checklist before you sign anything:
- Name the PDL endpoint you are replacing. Person Search, Company Enrichment, contact fields, and bulk licenses each have a different best alternative.
- Decide whether you need a first source or a backup. High company coverage matters for a first source. Unique finds matter for a backup.
- Test 200-500 of your own records. Send the same inputs to every provider you are considering.
- Compare cost per correct result. Credits, records, and seats are not comparable units until you divide by usable output.
- Read the contract terms. Check credit rollover, seat minimums, separate plans per data type, and which plan unlocks API access.
You do not have to pick one provider. Here are three combinations the benchmark data supports.
Recipe 1: Decision-Maker Search With a Backup
Use CompanyEnrich or Crustdata as the first source, since both returned a correct profile for about 88% of companies. Send only the unresolved companies to Apollo, then Prospeo. Those two returned 26 correct profiles between them that no other tested provider found, which is exactly the gap a backup source exists to fill.
Recipe 2: Find the Person, Then the Contact Data
Run people search first to get a verified LinkedIn profile and current title, using CompanyEnrich's People Search API or Crustdata. Then pass that person to FullEnrich for a work email or mobile number, where you pay only when data is found. This keeps contact-data spend limited to people you have already confirmed are current.
Recipe 3: A Bulk Base Layer With a Live Refresh
Load a Coresignal or Crustdata dataset into your warehouse as the base layer. Then call a real-time API for the records that matter today: CompanyEnrich for company enrichment on new signups and CRM accounts, or Crustdata's Watcher API for change alerts. This replaces PDL's data license plus API combination with two providers, each doing the part it is strongest at. Our CRM enrichment guide covers the live half of this setup in more detail.
When Should You Stay With People Data Labs?
Switching is not always the right call. PDL is still the better choice when:
- You depend on bulk data license feeds and your pipelines are built around PDL's schema and record IDs.
- Crunchbase links or corporate relations are core fields. PDL led both in our enrichment benchmark.
- LinkedIn URL coverage is your main requirement. PDL led that field at 60.2%, though Apollo at 56.7% and CompanyEnrich at 55.6% were within five points.
- You have a negotiated enterprise rate that changes the cost math. Rerun the numbers above with your real price per record.
If none of those apply, you are probably paying for data you could get deeper, fresher, or cheaper elsewhere.
Final Thoughts: Which People Data Labs Alternative Should You Choose?
Treat this as replacing one PDL endpoint at a time, not switching vendors. Start with the endpoint that costs you the most per useful record, pick the alternative that led that job in the tables above, and run it in parallel with PDL on 200 to 500 of your own records before you move any traffic. Keep PDL for any field it still leads on your data, such as Crunchbase URLs or corporate relations, until a replacement matches it.
The parallel run usually ends one of three ways. If the new provider matches PDL on coverage at a lower cost per correct result, move the endpoint and drop that PDL plan. If it wins on coverage but misses records PDL found, keep PDL as the backup in a waterfall and send it only the unresolved rows. If nothing beats PDL on your records, stay, and rerun the test when your contract comes up for renewal.
If you are calling PDL's API today for enrichment or people search, you can test CompanyEnrich free with 500 credits on the same records you send to PDL, and compare the results yourself. For a broader view of company data providers, read our guide to the best company data APIs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the best People Data Labs alternatives in 2026?
Six providers beat People Data Labs on at least one job in our benchmarks: CompanyEnrich, Crustdata, Coresignal, FullEnrich, Apollo, and Prospeo. The right one depends on which PDL endpoint you are replacing, so use the use-case table at the top of this guide rather than an overall ranking.
Is there a cheaper alternative to People Data Labs?
Yes. In CompanyEnrich's August 2026 people search benchmark, every other tested provider had a lower modeled cost per correct profile than PDL's $0.3614. CompanyEnrich was lowest at $0.0027, followed by Prospeo at $0.0091 and Crustdata at $0.0098. Recalculate with your own plan tier and query size before deciding.
Which People Data Labs alternatives offer bulk datasets?
Coresignal and Crustdata both sell dataset delivery alongside their APIs. Coresignal offers company, employee, and job posting datasets, and Crustdata delivers company and people data as flat files refreshed monthly. CompanyEnrich, FullEnrich, Apollo, and Prospeo are API or app products and do not ship bulk dataset files.
Which People Data Labs alternative is best for people search?
CompanyEnrich and Crustdata led the people search benchmark. CompanyEnrich returned a correct profile for 88.0% of 502 companies, and Crustdata at 87.8%, compared with 74.5% for People Data Labs. Crustdata found the most correct profiles overall and returned no stale profiles, so it is the better pick when current data matters most.
Does People Data Labs have an MCP server?
People Data Labs does not document a first-party MCP server. Third-party connectors, such as Zapier's MCP integration, can expose PDL's API to AI agents. CompanyEnrich, Crustdata, Coresignal, FullEnrich, Apollo, and Prospeo all offer their own MCP servers.
Can I use more than one People Data Labs alternative together?
Yes, and for people search it often works better than relying on one provider. A common setup uses a high-coverage provider like CompanyEnrich or Crustdata first, then sends unresolved records to a backup like Apollo or Prospeo, which returned the most unique correct profiles in the benchmark. Contact data can then come from a waterfall tool like FullEnrich.
Which People Data Labs alternatives have a free tier?
Apollo and Prospeo offer ongoing free plans, with Prospeo's capped at 100 credits per month. People Data Labs gives 100 records per month with contact data hidden. CompanyEnrich, FullEnrich, and Coresignal offer trials rather than free plans: 500 credits, 50 credits, and 7 days respectively. Crustdata offers a demo and no self-serve free tier.
Do these People Data Labs alternatives cover companies outside the US?
Our benchmarks did not measure coverage by country. The company enrichment cohort was 349 domains sampled from the Majestic Million, and the people search cohort was 502 YC companies from the 2024 batches, which are mostly US-based. If your accounts are mainly in Europe, Asia-Pacific, or Latin America, run the same 200 to 500 record test on those accounts before choosing, because our numbers are least likely to transfer there.
How do People Data Labs alternatives source their data?
Each provider describes its own sourcing, and our benchmarks did not audit those descriptions. Coresignal says it collects only public, business-related data and does not scrape behind logins. Crustdata says its datasets are unified from 11+ sources, FullEnrich says it queries 25+ sources, and Prospeo says its data is refreshed weekly. PDL reviewers on G2 describe it as leaning heavily on LinkedIn. Before signing, ask each vendor for its data processing agreement, the legal basis it relies on for EU and UK records, and how it handles opt-out requests.
How do I migrate away from People Data Labs?
Start by listing the PDL endpoints and fields your code actually uses. PDL-specific features such as its SQL and Elasticsearch query syntax, likelihood scores, and PDL record IDs will not map one-to-one to another provider, so plan time for field mapping. Then run the new provider in parallel with PDL on the same records for a few weeks and compare coverage, accuracy, and cost before you switch.
